AI Governance
& Compliance

Navigate the EU AI Act, GDPR and internal governance requirements without slowing down your AI initiatives. Practical, not theoretical — with your actual systems in scope.

Half-day (3h) Up to 20 participants On-site or remote English or German

Why this workshop

Compliance you retrofit costs ten times
what compliance you design in does.

The EU AI Act is no longer a future problem: prohibitions and AI-literacy duties already apply, obligations for general-purpose AI are in force, and the high-risk regime is phasing in. Companies that map their AI systems against the risk classes now get to choose their path calmly; companies that wait get to do it during an audit.

The common failure mode isn't ignoring compliance — it's bolting it on. A governance framework designed after the fact means retrofitting documentation, rebuilding logging, and renegotiating vendor contracts under time pressure. Designed in from the start, the same requirements cost a fraction and barely slow the roadmap.

This workshop works with your actual AI systems, not hypotheticals. We classify what you run today, find the real gaps, and leave you with a governance blueprint that your engineers will accept — because it automates evidence instead of adding meetings.

Agenda

What we work through

01

Your AI inventory & risk map

We list the AI systems you actually run — including the ones nobody calls "AI" — and classify them against the AI Act's risk categories, live.

02

Obligations that bite

What prohibited, high-risk, limited-risk and GPAI classifications mean in concrete duties: documentation, human oversight, transparency, logging, literacy.

03

GDPR × AI Act

Where the two regimes overlap and where they pull apart: legal bases, DPIAs vs. conformity assessments, and one documentation set that serves both.

04

Audit trails & explainability

What "appropriate documentation" looks like in engineering practice: model cards, decision logs, evaluation records — generated by the pipeline, not by hand.

05

Governance that teams accept

Approval workflows, model registries and review gates that scale — lightweight for low-risk experiments, rigorous where the law demands it.

Who it's for

Compliance, risk and legal teams who own AI Act readiness
Engineering leads who must implement governance without strangling delivery
Product owners who need to know which planned features trigger which obligations

What you leave with

A risk classification of your actual AI systems under the EU AI Act
A prioritised gap list: what's fine, what needs work, what needs it now
A documentation starter kit: model cards, logging requirements, evidence checklists
A governance blueprint with proportionate review gates
A realistic compliance timeline mapped to the AI Act's enforcement phases

Good to know

Is this workshop off-the-shelf?

No. Before every workshop we run a 30-minute briefing call and tailor examples, exercises and depth to your industry, your stack and your team's starting point. The agenda above is the frame — the content inside it is yours.

What does it cost?

Pricing depends on group size, location and how much customisation your context needs. We'll give you a fixed quote after the briefing call — no surprises, no hidden day rates.

On-site or remote?

Both work. On-site tends to be stronger for group discussion and hands-on exercises; remote splits well into two half-sessions. We run workshops across Europe in English or German.

We only use vendor AI tools — does this still apply?

Yes. As a deployer you carry your own obligations under the AI Act — literacy, human oversight, usage monitoring — and your vendors' compliance claims need verifying. We cover the deployer perspective explicitly.
