Our Story

Founded on one observation:
most AI projects don't fail because of the model.

After years working at the intersection of enterprise software and AI, the same pattern kept appearing. Companies would invest six figures in an AI pilot, hire the best engineers, choose the right model — and then watch it fail in production. Not because the AI was wrong. Because the architecture around it was missing.

No semantic layer to ground the model in company-specific knowledge. No multi-agent architecture to handle real-world complexity. No memory system to let the AI learn and improve over time. The model was an engine sitting on a road with no infrastructure.

m2-consulting was founded to build that infrastructure. We are a boutique firm — deliberately small, deliberately senior, deliberately opinionated. We work with regulated industries where getting this right is not optional: FinTech, Banking, Insurance, Healthcare.

We start every engagement with a hard look at the infrastructure before writing a single prompt. The model is the last decision, not the first. What surrounds it — data pipelines, semantic layers, memory systems — determines whether it works.

Production is the only metric.

We measure our work in one way: does it run in production, under real load, with real users, in real edge cases? A demo that impresses nobody is worth more than a beautiful architecture diagram that never ships.

Boutique by design.

We stay small intentionally. Every client works directly with senior architects, not account managers. No overhead, no hand-offs, no diluted expertise. The people who sell the work are the people who do the work.

FinTech, Banking and Insurance don't get second chances. GDPR compliance, audit trails, explainability and governance are built in from day one — not bolted on at the end when the regulators ask questions.

We build on open foundations and give back. MemoryManager, our brain-inspired memory system, is open source. We believe the best enterprise AI is built on software that can be audited, extended and owned by its operators.
